Dance as a part of the composite culture of India comes under the domain of performing arts. In the Indian context apart from being an expression of thoughts and ideas dance is associated with the worship of God. As a result, India has witnessed the growth of various classical and numerous folk dance forms.

 

Dance in contemporary times has become an inevitable part of the film and television industry. From Bharatanatyam to Bollywood style various forms of dances are seen performed in the industry. Being a subject of study from ancient times dance over the year has seen concretization in its academic curriculum.

 

The course is structured and designed in a manner so as to develop practical skills through the performance of the art form.
